My Dear Sister By Sarah Valkenaar

A sister came for me then
In early October of '97
So happy was I
I felt like I could cry.
A new sister to hold
Even when it was ice-cold

The years quickly flew
But they stay like an old tattoo.
A woman so beautiful
Will always be a handful.
But someday a wonderful man
Will come and be her strongman.

But until that joyous day
Together we will have to stay
Laughing at Tinker Bayles
And funny fails.
Watching airplanes fly
In the dark sky so high.

So my dear sister
Until you find that mister
I'll hug you when you cry
And always stay nearby!
